Testimonials + Videos

If you’re still wondering if this is the right course from you, this feedback from recent students might help you decide:

What did you find most relevant and useful about the course?

“The course strengthened my overall asset management knowledge. The link between finance and engineering is clear and well-spoken about throughout the course. The course is tailored to cater for both the finance and engineering sides of asset management, and this course marries the two to show how the two worlds fit together. I also got a greater appreciation of the financial indicators required and can use these to help develop KPIs of our overall asset management performance.”

Megan Finnie
Manager Asset Strategy, Planning & Performance | Northern Beaches Council, NSW

What did you find most valuable about the mentoring you experienced during the course?

“My experience with IPWEA is that the instructors WANT you to understand and pass the course. As long as you are exhibiting effort, they have been very helpful along with the other students posting their thoughts too. Good course. I really wish more folks in our organization would take it along with the AMP.”

What did you find most relevant and useful?

“The link between LTFP and AMP, and the financial indicators. It really strengthens my understanding of the knowledge and detail to be included in the AMPs. The specific financial indicators are not developed/generated by me under my role, but it's great to get an understanding of the concepts to understand where finance is coming from with some of the internal discussions.”

Based on a decade of experience in promoting aligning of accounting standards with infrastructure management in Australia, IPWEA is pleased to be able to expand these concepts to apply on the global stage. This International Infrastructure Financial Management Manual (IIFMM) has evolved from the Australian Infrastructure Financial Management Guidelines which were first published in 2009. Since then we have had increasing world-wide interest in the need to better manage infrastructure assets.

The Manual provides the practical “how to” tools for asset and financial management practitioners to report and manage infrastructure assets in a consistent way, based on the Accounting Standards applicable in various Countries. The Manual is all about getting asset and financial professionals, all speaking a common language and taking a common approach.

The IIFMM is provided complimentary for the course duration.
